Elke Boudry

Researcher

Biography

In 2003, Elke Boudry graduated as Master in Sociology at Ghent University. After her first working experience as a social researcher at the children’s helpline, she worked for the past five years as a researcher at the University College Ghent. Her research focused on the consequences of implementing ICT in Flemish local administrations and formed the foundation for the I-scan project. During the first phase of this project, the interaction between ICT and internal organization has been analyzed in 29 municipalities. The internal organization on the one hand and the implementation and use of ICT on the other hand mutually affect each other. The results were brought together in a book “E-government: a new challenge or a new solution” (2009).

In January 2011, Elke joined MICT as a researcher where she is involved in the IBBT TERRAIN-project.
