Biography
Lynn De Vlieger graduated in 2008 as bachelor Marketing at Hogeschool Gent and obtained her degree of Master of Communication Sciences at Ghent University in July 2010. Her past accomplishments include an internship as Account/Project Manager at the well-known advertising agency Boondoggle in Leuven and the organization of the Foundation Marketing Student Marketing Conference 2007. For her thesis titled “In Green we Trust: an Exploratory Research into the Credibility of Green Claims in Print Advertising”, she combined qualitative and quantitative research techniques in order to test a content analysis model to predict people’s evaluations of green claims in print media.
In November 2010, Lynn joined MICT as junior researcher. Within the multidisciplinary IBBT TERRAIN-project, she explored the needs of end-users, business and government stakeholders in a new communication society which will use fibre instead of copper cable to deliver diverse services such as Internet, television and telephone.
As of September 2011, Lynn is research and teaching assistant at the Department of Communication Sciences, supporting the courses Communication Studies Research I (2e bachelor) and II (3e bachelor) and Market and Consumer Research (Master).
