Biography

Tom Evens holds Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences (2005) and Economics and Business Administration (2006) from Ghent University. His research focuses on the political economy of new media and ICT, business model and public policy aspects of new media. Issues studied in previous and current projects include digital television, digital radio, mobile television, digital switchover strategies, sports broadcasting rights, innovation policies and electronic archiving. Tom has widely published on strategic management issues (regarding multi-sided platforms, exclusivity and bundling, vertical integration and ICT innovation) in diverse international journals (a.o. New Media & Society, Javnost -the Public, Telematics and Informatics, Journal of Media Business Studies, International Journal of Digital Television etc.).
